Pickling and preserving is both an economic and environmentally friendly way to maximize fruit and vegetable stocks. The KILNER® preserving starter set contains all the components required to make jam, pickles and chutneys, great for beginners or experienced preservers. The 0.5 L/500 mL jars are the ideal size for decanting homemade creations. Featuring a two-piece lid system which comprises of a tin disc and screw band ensuring a secure vacuum seal is achieved, keeping the contents fresher for longer. Use the easy fill funnel to decant into the jars preventing spills and wastage along with the bubble remover which eliminates excess air bubbles that become trapped in the jar during filling, prior to the jars being sealed. In the final stages of preserving and processing, the jar lifter allows you move hot, full jars safely. White labels are provided to enable dates/contents and other details to be written and added to the jar.
